My Inspiration:
My dear Grandfather was both a natural healer (Dr. of Chiropractic and Osteopathy) and a big band jazz drummer. He was my first inspiration to become a doctor and his compassion for his patients and competence as a healer was immediate to me while growing up.
My Experience:
During my late teens and early twenties, I worked as both an EMT and then a Paramedic. Driving an ambulance in Los Angeles, and participating daily in the life and death dramas of the human experience, grounded me with an understanding of our potential as a species to thrive and to suffer.
My Training:
I have a four year Doctorate Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. I am a Washington State Board Certified Naturopathic Physician licensed to provide primary care. My undergraduate work lead to a four year Bachelor of Science Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and I have been certified as an EMT/Paramedic.
My Life:
I'm a mother of a wonderful teenage daughter, Breanna. I live in Seattle with my partner David and my dog, Dakar. I play volleyball, tennis and love dancing. I'm also an avid reader, love to shop at thrift stores and enjoy traveling whenever I can.
